As an Academy Trust, our curriculum is shaped on our identity as a learning community, which is extremely important to us as we truly believe in ‘Achievement for All’. We aim to provide 21st Century Learning opportunities that will develop our students to become responsible, respectful, confident, independent young people who make a positive contribution and are prepared for life beyond Perry Beeches.

Academy Trust Vision:
To provide a curriculum which sustains success for our students across the Academy Trust of schools, which will be both innovative, exciting and encourages all students to fulfil their potential. It will engage the whole school community to raise both standards and aspirations, via outstanding teaching that ensures all students achieve.
The Main Principles of the Curriculum:
- All students will follow a personalised curriculum based on prior attainment data, student aspirations and challenging targets. Students are provided the level of learning appropriate to their needs within their ‘Learning Journey’.
- All students will develop their literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.
- All students will be actively engaged in British Values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect of those with different faiths and beliefs.
- All students will develop their understanding of the world in which they live and be prepared to contribute to their community.
- All students will experience a range of Teaching and Learning approaches including enquiry, active learning and practical activities as well as learning beyond the school via community and business links. Learning will also be relevant where appropriate to the context of life and work.
The curriculum will:
- Provide balance, relevance, differentiation and progression.
- Promote knowledge and understanding, mastery of intellectual, physical and interpersonal skills and personal qualities, values and attitudes.
- Provide appropriate tasks and reading techniques to support high expectations and appropriate challenges.
- Be increasingly diverse and flexible facilitating personalised learning, while considering the national agenda.
- Provide work related learning.
- Provide parents with Curriculum information relevant to their child.
- Lead to qualifications that are of worth for employers and for entry to higher/ further education.
- Prepare students to make informed and appropriate choices at the end of KS3 and KS4
- Student Curriculum will prepare students for the future by:
- Securing high achievement in Literacy and Numeracy.
- Develop independent, lifelong learning by providing a relevant curriculum that gives students the life chances they deserve.
- Ensure courses provide progression and continuity in the learning experiences.
- Be broad and balanced, relevant and differentiated to meet the needs of the full range of abilities within school.
- Enable students to fulfil their potential.
- Help students acquire understanding, knowledge and key skills relevant to school, adult life and employment in a fast changing world.
- Support students to develop personal moral values, respect for religious values and tolerance of other races, beliefs and way of life.
- Prepare students to make informed and appropriate choices at pre KS4 and pre Post 16.
Key Stage Three:
- Students will follow learning programmes in English, Maths and Science.
- The curriculum will be delivered so it ensures underachievement on entry in literacy and numeracy is addressed.
- Students will also have access to Geography, History, French, RE, ICT, Design + Technology, PE, Art, Drama, Music and PSHE/Citizenship.
Key Stage Four:
- A full complement of GCSE’s will be delivered along with Level 2 courses;
- All students will start their GCSE’s, or other Level 2 courses in Year 9 completing a three year Key Stage 4.
