Literacy and Numeracy Catch Up Fund
The literacy and numeracy catch-up premium gives schools additional funding to support year 7 pupils who did not achieve at least level 4 in reading and/or maths at the end of key stage 2 (KS2). Perry Beeches The Academy will continue to use the catch up funding to support eligible students at the Academy to raise standards and attainment. The funding has been used in a number of different areas, including but not limited to support with additional numeracy and literacy sessions, mentoring and participation within the Accelerated Reader programme. The impact of this on student progression has been that for the Academic Year 2013-2014, the average reading age of our targeted students has increased from 8.1 to 9.4.
