British Values Week
It was amazing to see so many students, across all year groups, having purposeful discussions on real life issues. Students debated the reasons why people may have voted to leave or stay in the EU; students learnt about real life examples where democracy and individual liberties have been stripped away. During assembly students looked at ‘failed states’ around the world and how people’s quality of life was suffering. All of this was complemented with our amazing guest speakers from Amnesty International and Ernest Simon who survived the Holocaust after being brought to Britain via the Kindertransport.
