Consulting with School Council
Perry Beeches The Academy takes the decisions made by students seriously and regularly consults with them to ensure their ideas are listened to. At a recent school council students worked with the school canteen staff to sample drinks, biscuits and other refreshments to see if they were value for money and something they would want to continue to be sold to other students at lunch and break time. Prices were discussed and decisions made to ensure the best outcome was made for everyone. One student commented ‘It is a good idea to ask us about it as we are the ones who buy them and when we ask our friends, they give us their ideas and comments and we feedback at the whole school council’.
