Cross Country Practical Assessment
On Friday 30th January, 19 Year 10 GCSE PE students went off site to take part in a cross country practical assessment. Practical marks account for 60% of the overall GCSE PE grade, and therefore it is imperative that students are offered a wide range of opportunities to express their sporting pedigree.
Baseline assessments carried out in school were conducted prior to the run, to evaluate suitable students. These included the Bleep Test and the Cooper Run.
The PE Department were pleased with the effort and enthusiasm of all the students involved, with some excellent times recorded. It is without doubt that cross country will be carried forward as a practical mark for many of the individuals involved. Well done Year 10!
