Perry Beeches The Academy hosted its first Santa Dash on Monday 25th November 2013. There were over 150 runners which included students, staff and community representatives. The Santa Dash was 3.2km and all uphill!  Santas were spotted running up the Walsall Road past Alexander Stadium to the top of Beeches Road. They were all pleased to see the decent downhill to school with a huge number of supporters on route. Perry Beeches Infant School children had beaming smiles on their faces as they saw so many Santas pass them by!

The school was hugely supported by Perry Barr One Stop with water and costumes, kindly donated by Mark Burbridge and his team. Brian Dawson, 80 year old veteran from Birchfield Harriers followed up the rear with Inspector Karen Geddes to ensure that the runners all got back safely. The day was a great success. All money raised will go to the ‘Make a Wish Charity’.
