Greenholm Primary School visit

On the 19th of November 2013, Greenholm primary school visited us at PB The Academy and took part in a fabulous morning of DT. With the help of Mr McGovern and Miss Wilkinson they had an amazing time looking at bridge structures, a topic they’d been looking at during the term. They enjoyed an amazing opportunity to construct spaghetti and marshmallow towers and a bridge capable of holding bricks. However, I’m not sure who was more competitive, the students or the two sets of teachers! Assisted by three Year 9s and two Year 8s, the children had a chance to ask them about what it is like here at the Academy. Furthermore, whoever impressed both the teachers and students alike received a Perry Beeches Reward pen. Overall, this was a great chance for the children to learn and have fun, as well as experiencing lessons at the Academy.
