On Thursday 13th December 58 residents at Homelands Sheltered Housing in Beeches Road enjoyed a traditional Christmas meal – turkey and all the trimmings with staff and students from Perry Beeches. The warden worked tirelessly to cook 7O meals. Crackers were shared with staff and residents and the choir sang Christmas carols. We would like to thank our partners for providing funding and their time to ensure such a happy joyous occasion was enjoyed and embraced by so many people. Year 10 students served the meals and took trays to those residents in their flats who were too ill or frail to attend, students made a real difference to the older people and bought smiles to their faces to which they were all very grateful.  Santa also made a debut and gave out a present to every student, member of staff, residents and other family members.
