On Saturday 15th March a group of year 8 students had the exciting opportunity to take part in a Magistrates Court Competition at Victoria Law Courts in Birmingham.
In the roles of lawyers, witnesses, magistrates and court staff, students prosecuted and defended a specially written criminal case against other local schools in front of real magistrates.
Students worked extremely hard preparing their case and performed fantastically on the day with enthusiasm. One of the students Jasmine Blake won the award for best reporter on the day, a fantastic performance against over 100 other students.
We would like to thank all of the students that got involved in the competition and there are a number of students who will have a successful career as a lawyer.
