Students left for PGL on November 10th ready to form friendships and meet students from Perry Beeches II III and IV. Students enjoyed the coach journey as they made their way to Boreatton Park, singing songs on the coach and in high spirits ready for their adventure. Upon arrival, students took their luggage to their rooms and then the fun began. On the first night, after dinner, students began their evening activities. This was a fantastic opportunity for students to make new friends and get to know each other.
Each day students woke up to a vast array of breakfast choices, followed by activities such as quad biking, fencing, rifle shooting and canoeing. Students experienced many challenges throughout the week, facing their fear of heights, or even getting used to being away from home. Some of the activities students really enjoyed included the giant swing, zip wire, abseiling, and the trapeze. On the final evening there was a disco; students had a fantastic time hanging out with friends and busting out some moves.
By the end of a highly successful week, students had developed new friendships. Relationships had been built with staff, and students had created memories that will stay with them forever.
Behaviour was exemplary and students were a credit to Perry Beeches The Academy.
