Year 7 students left for PGL Boreatton Park on Monday 7th November ready for a new adventure!  After getting settled in to their log cabins and then eating dinner, the fun began!  Students had the opportunity to make lots of new friends and get to know each other better in their evening activities – some sang songs around a campfire, whilst others worked in teams to play ‘wacky races’.

Each morning, students had a wide range of breakfast choices followed by activities such as canoeing, archery, zip wire, quad biking, trapeze, rifle shooting, giant swing and obstacle courses.  Students all broke out of their comfort zones, whether they were facing their fear of heights or adapting to life away from home.  It was fantastic to see all students making new friends and helping one another throughout the week!  Furthermore, relationships had been built with staff and self-confidence was sky high!  Year 7 had made memories that will last a lifetime.

PGL staff commented on how excellent student behaviour was throughout the week.  Year 7 were a real credit to Perry Beeches The Academy and we are very proud of them!

“These kids are the most well behaved that have come to the centre” – PGL Activity Leader
