Over 40 students in year 10 have had the opportunity to engage with drama students from Birmingham University both at a performance at The Drum and a workshop in school. The workshop explored girl’s relationships to gangs and the sexual exploitation of young females. The workshops created debate about the issues surrounding girl’s relationships to gangs.

The workshop used a mix of drama and games to stimulate debate and explored positive and negative relationships and gave insight into the barriers to young women that wish to leave gangs. Students observed drama pieces that explored how gangs can manipulate different situations and how to recognise this. The students were overwhelmed by what they saw and were interviewed for Central News which appeared on Friday 24th November
