STOP Exchange

One Stop Shopping Centre, Perry Barr, 11am- 4pm

Perry Barr Arts Forum is holding an Arts exchange day at the One Stop Shopping Centre, Perry Barr. We will have lots of activities taking place throughout the day, from printing to poetry to performance. We are excited to confirm that the internationally renowned comic artist John McCrea, whose clients include Marvel Comics and Titan Publishing, will be delivering Comic workshops on the day.  Local contemporary printer Karoline Rerrie will be delivering screen printing sessions and you will be able to explore printing through unusual machines with the Arts and Architecture collective Re. Future.  Performances of Poetry and Dance that respond to the architecture of One Stop will be taking place in the central Foyer.

The Mobile Arts Unit and creative hub can be found in the One Stop Car Park next to New Look. The film and Media production company Reel Access, will be running Six Word Stories Sunshine Ship which combines animation, photography and other visual media to create six word stories.

We hope that you will join us and share your ideas at the STOP: Exchange.

Stop: Exchange is run by Grosvenor Road Studios and forms part of Birmingham City Council’s Cultivating Culture Local Arts programme.  Over the months of February and March all the wards across Birmingham will be running ambitious events which celebrate local talent.
