Taster Day at Jesus College, The University of Oxford
Ten of our most able students visited The University of Oxford on 24th February 2015 to take part in a Year 10 Taster Day delivered by the University’s Pathways Programme.
Our students were given the opportunity to tour the university, exploring both Jesus College and New College. The students were greeted by breath taking views of the historic buildings, gardens, the chapel and cloisters and were even lucky enough to visit some of the famous settings where Harry Potter was filmed! Students participated in a tour of the city, later retiring to the onsite dining hall, where they enjoyed the university’s delicious food.
Students engaged in a challenging Academic Taster Session, led by one of the university’s own lecturers. Later, getting the opportunity to speak with current undergraduates. A great number of questions were asked, as our students were keen to acquire knowledge about undergraduate life at The University of Oxford. It was clear that our students had high expectations for their futures.
Students additionally received information about the entry requirements for The University of Oxford and the application process. Our students left their Taster Day Experience, ready to work hard with the aim to succeed and achieve their aspirations. Well done to our students, you were a real credit to yourselves and Perry Beeches.
