Team PB represented the Kingsbury School Partnership at the recent Sainsbury’s Level 3 games, this after winning 3 of the 4 places available during the Level 2 competition. A mix of Year 7 and Year 8 boys and girls competed with other schools from across the Birmingham district.
Students took part in 4×2 relays, triple jump, shot putt and distance running. All students really enjoyed the event and the opportunity to represent Team PB at a nationally organised event, and with some excellent displays, finished 5th overall.
Special mentions go out to those students who performed so well on the day, and we hope this is the start of a future in athletics for those involved.
At a nationwide competition on the Saturday, following her excellent display on the Friday, our very own Jayda Regis performed a personal best of 6.91seconds in the 60m sprint, making her officially the fastest under 13 girl in the UK. Well done Jayda!
