V and A Museum
On 24th June a 50 seater coach set off for the V and A Museum of Childhood. 35 year 8 history students attended the trip to look at the war games and war toys exhibition. They shared the trip with a number of residents from Homelands who a number of them had lived through the Second World War. Memories were shared about toys and games that the residents had played when they were young. There were no signs of x-box, play stations or I Pads. Student’s hard work had paid off with the number of cake sales that had taken place to fundraise for the trip. The tail gate on the coach enabled residents with disabilities to attend. The experience instigated conversation that relived a number of childhood memories.
