Year 11 Graduation & Prom

On Friday 23rd June, Perry Beeches The Academy held a Year 11 Graduation Ceremony for the class of 2012 – 2017.  Students, parents and staff all gathered together to celebrate five years of study, hard work and friendship.

We enjoyed some fantastic performances from Year 11 singers Lauren Somerfield, Rhiannon Hargreaves and Doha Belhana alongside talented musicians in Year 11; Jamie Goding and Daniel Burrell as well as Year 9 musicians Jordan Lewis and Harley Gibbs.

We had farewell speeches from our outstanding Student Leadership Team; Deputy Head Boys Matthew Barnes and Ryan Uppal and Deputy Head Girls Kainaat Ali and Hannah Brook and our fantastic Head Boy James Smith and Head Girl Sophie Allen in company with Year 11 Head of Year, Deputy Head of Year, Assistant Head Teacher and Year 11 Form Tutors and form representatives.

The ceremony was an opportunity for staff members to say an emotional goodbye to our Year 11 students and surprise them with some embarrassing photos from over the years and a few surprise messages from staff throughout the years that are no longer here at PB!

We were honoured to have Nathan Dennis speak to students and parents. Nathan leads first class legacy – bridging the gap between local communities through faith, love, time, trust, passion, integrity, fun and laughter. He certainly got everyone feeling the love, everyone was up and dancing and feeling the positive message he came to deliver!

On the evening, staff and students continued the celebrations at their Grecian themed Prom, which was held at the prestigious Edgbaston Cricket Ground.  Year 11 looked fantastic – the boys were suited and booted and the girls brought glitz and glamour to the event!  Everybody thoroughly enjoyed the Prom; it was a great way to say goodbye to our wonderful Year 11 students.  We wish them all the very best in the future!
