Ofsted highlight PB’s Outstanding practice

After our Outstanding Ofsted report, Robert Barbour, HMI and lead inspector wished to celebrate elements of Outstanding practice offered at Perry Beeches. He chose to highlight the way in which the Academy sees itself as a learning community. All teachers are on MA courses and all teaching assistants are studying for foundation degrees. Our ‘Student voice’ is used to a great extent to develop the quality of teaching through an ever-expanding team of students, currently over 40, who observe lessons. Our innovative approaches to staff development have led to rapid improvement in the quality of teaching and in turn to the achievement of students, which is outstanding.
