Perry Beeches V Baverstock Academy

Year 7 Football

The boys travelled to Kings Heath for their away fixture in the first round of the Under 12’s National School’s Cup on Thursday night. From the first whistle it was Perry Beeches who dominated all areas of the pitch and were creating chances at will. However, Baverstock played well on the counter attack and had three good chances of their own which should have seen them go into half time with an undeserved lead. Luckily, some confident goalkeeping from Jack Stewart and Jacob Ellis ensured that our goal remained intact. The second half was very much the same as the first with Perry Beeches having more of the ball and creating some excellent chances. When the Baverstock woodwork was hit for the third time it looked as though it was going to be one of those games. However, our boys were not to be denied and managed to grab the goal that their excellent play had deserved and we ran out 1-0 winners to find ourselves in the next round of the cup.

Well done boys!
