Perry Beeches v Idsall School
On the 18th of March 2014 Perry Beeches had a football match against Idsall School. We were all nervous to play because we all heard that our opponents had just gained a place in the semi-final of the National Cup, but with our team spirit we knew we could be successful. We were confident as a team because we knew each other’s strengths and weaknesses.
The match started we were all nervous but we were strong and both teams seemed to be equally matched, so as our coach Miss Whitehouse was cheering us on we began to feel confident in ourselves but as the match went on there was still no goals to be scored.
As we had some support from our coaches the second half began and we had most of the possession but still both teams struggled to score a goal but we kept our heads high. The final whistle blew so now all we had left was 10 minutes each side otherwise it would be penalties. As those 20 minutes went by we began to think that this would go down to penalties and we were right. As I was in goal I was nervous for the outcome but myself, Sian, Sinead and various other team players put themselves for a penalty. Idsall School scored just one as I saved every other goal and Beeches only missed two penalties.
We would just like to say thank you to our driver for taking us and dropping us back and giving us some support and our coach for helping us within the match.
